  2. The Volunteer Sign-up/ Registration will be at the Depot from 3 P.M. – 7 P.M. on Wednesday and from 7 A.M.- 9 A.M. on Thanksgiving Day. Look for the banner that  says, “ VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION ”
  3. Each shift will have a shift leader, please be cooperative with you leaders.

What to Bring

We have arranged to stay at the Morrell Base Camp in Waveland. This is a brand new relief center built to house relief workers. There are clean bedrooms that sleep 4-6 barracks style on cots, new showers (hot water), and restrooms all in the same building. There is a separate dining area. There is central heat and air.

Bring sleeping bags or sheets, blankets and pillows. You will need a bathrobe, shower shoes, soap and towels. Also you might want to bring bug spray as the         ”no see ums” are prevalent on the coast. You will need an alarm clock and a flashlight. Bring a jacket, and any special needs items. Do not bring valuables, jewelry, etc. Bring cash as it is a holiday and ATM’s are scarce. Do not forget any personal medicines-we will have basic pharmaceuticals and basic medical care on sight.

See this website- http://www.morrellfoundation.org/iCareVillage.htm

There is a nominal charge of $10 per person per night. Breakfast will be available at 7 a.m. each morning. There is also lunch and dinner, but we can also eat at the Calvary Chapel Relief near the Depot. There will be a Rotary Hospitality Room at the depot with snacks and beverages.
