July 5, 2005 - Steve Baker Installed as President

July 5, 2005 - President Steve Baker accepted the gavel and president's pin from Immediate Past President, Gene Wing at the regular Tuesday meeting of the club.  President Baker presented Gene with a plaque recognizing his contributions to the club during his year as club president.

In his acceptance remarks, Baker promised continuation of the record of accomplishments of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro.  Baker acknowledged the outstanding job Centennial President, Gene Wing had done as leader of the club which resulted in the club being named Club of the Year in District 6150 for 2004-05.  President Baker announced several changes including the consolidation of selected committees, exploring the possibility of new fund raisers and the addition of new service projects.
