 Directions to Bay Saint Louis
( This is about an 8 hour drive- remember that the Mississippi Highway patrol will be working on this  holiday!!!!)

FROM JONESBORO,  ARKANSAS

US-63 South

Take ramp onto I-55 South toward Memphis, Tennessee

Take I-55 to Jackson, Mississippi

Take 49 to Gulfport, Mississippi

Go past the Diamondhead Exit

Take I-10 W to 603S (Kiln Exit)

 

Places to stop are for gas or restrooms-Batesville, Grenada (best),  Jackson, or Richland( just south of Jackson) 

You  could get lunch at Banner Hall-Broad street Bakery-this is a nice sandwich place not expensive)

Banner Hall: In Jackson, Take EXIT 100 toward NORTHSIDE DR/MEADOWBROOK RD, Stay STRAIGHT to go onto W FRONTAGE RD. End at 4465 I 55 N

Be careful in Jackson, only stop in North Jackson—like county line road exit, Meadowbrook / Northside exit, Avoid South Jackson-not safe.

 

After Jackson Places to stop-Richland, Magee, Collins, Hattiesburg 

You could get lunch at The Farmer’s Market in Hattiesburg - nice all you can eat fresh vegetables, meats, good!!!!!!

Farmer’s Market: in Hattiesburg, Take the I-20 E/US-49 S exit- EXIT 94- toward MERIDIAN/HATTIESBURG, Merge onto US-49 S toward US-80, End at 6581 U S Highway 49 Hattiesburg, MS 39401-3006, US. After you eat Back On 49 South

IN BAY ST. LOUIS

 

TO DEPOT (for Volunteer Registration and accommodations assignment)

Depot address: 1928 Depot Way, Bay St. Louis, MS

 

Take 603 S to Waveland/Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi

Turn left on US-90 East

Bear right on Main Street

Turn right on South Toulme Street

Depot will be on your right

**Registration at The Depot and is required and will be from 3PM – 7PM on Wednesday and from 7AM- 9AM on Thanksgiving Day. If you are a late arrival, come to the depot and call Marilyn or Bob (870.931.8697 or 870.931.8382). We will be together as a group in vicinity of the Depot for supper/social on Wednesday evening. If you are arriving late and want to go directly to Morrell then see directions below.

TO MORRELL COMPOUND FROM 603
(where we are staying)

This will take you directly to Morrell Compound not going to depot

Go straight across Highway 90 (603 is renamed to Nicholson Avenue as you cross Highway 90)

Follow Nicholson Avenue south, cross railroad tracks.

Go all the way to the Beach Road

Turn right and follow beach to Morrell Compound

You will not miss it a large- white roof with “Morrell” written on it

 

TO DEPOT FROM MORRELL COMPOUND

Follow the Beach Road to the east

Go several miles and turn left on Bookter Street (this is the street just before St Stanislaus High School- you can recognize this as the first intact 2 story building you will see on the Beach Road)

Follow Bookter Street to the Depot.
