Bylaws Amendments September 2006

Below are the proposed amendments to the Rotary Club of Jonesboro Bylaws.  The club will vote on these amendments at its September 26, 2006 club meeting.  Deleted Text   Added Text

Explanation of Changes:

Article 6 -

Section 1 - Changes the admission fee from $40 to $30 which breaks the admission fee out from the badge fee and documents the club's historical practice of waiving the admission fee for members who were previously Rotarians in another or our club.

Section 2 - (added new section 2) Sets the badge fee at $15 to cover current costs of badge and shipping.

Section 3 - Renumbered Section 2 to Section 3 and updated the current dues from $160 to $164 as a result of the final installment of the three year phased-in Rotary International dues increase.

Article 13 -

Section 3 - Adds the provision for voting on proposed members electronically.  This was needed to address the membership committee's efforts to reduce the amount of time needed to move a proposed member through the new member process.
