Billing Frequency
The Rotary year begins July 1 and ends on June 30 of each calendar year.  Billing occurs every six months, in July and in January.  Payment is due within 30 days of the date of the statement (1).

Club Dues
Club dues include dues the club pays on your behalf to Rotary International and to Rotary District 6150.  In addition, your subscription to The Rotarian magazine, liability insurance and fees for other Rotary International expenses are all required for the club to pay.  These fees are paid in July and January of each year.  The balance of dues paid by members provides the funds needed for the operation of the club and its committees.  The cost of meals or money used to fund club projects is not included in your dues.

Meal Costs
The weekly Rotary Club meeting is a luncheon meeting.  The cost for lunch for all members and guests is $12.00.  We contract with a caterer and pay for a minimum number of meals each week so all Active members pay for all meals regardless if they attend a meeting or not. If you miss a meeting you will be *charged for the missed meal on your next club statement. Incorporated in the meal price is the complimentary meals the club provides to our Interact students, speakers, etc.

You may select to pre-pay your meals by requesting this option from the club's Secretary or when you initially joined the club.  The number of meetings will be calculated and a charge for the next six months' lunches will be added to your semi-annual statement.

* Members who have been granted Rule of 85 (2) membership status will not be billed for missed meals.  Members on a board approved Leave of Absence (LOA) will receive a credit for any missed meals during the LOA.  If a member on a board approved LOA prepays for meals, a credit for missed meals during the LOA will appear on the next statement from the club.

$10-A-Month Club
Rotarians around the world support the work of the Rotary Foundation through their financial contributions.  The Every Rotarian, Every Year Campaign encourages each of us to contribute a minimum of $100 to TRF annually.

To provide an easy and painless method of supporting the foundation, the Rotary Club of Jonesboro established the $10-a-month club over thirty years ago which allows members to pay $60.00 two times each year for a total of $120 annually to be a member.  $10-a-month club members become Rotary Foundation (TRF) Sustaining Member once a minimum of $100 annually is contributed in their name to TRF.

Paul Harris Fellows
A contribution of $1,000 entitles the donor to receive (or name someone else to receive) Paul Harris Fellow recognition.  The Rotary Club of Jonesboro  has a long and proud history of supporting the foundation through the Paul Harris Fellowship program.  In fact our club has approximately four hundred (400) PHF recipients among our past and current members.  Many members have honored family members, friends and community leaders by naming them to receive this recognition.   Many members have attained the status of "Multiple Paul Harris Fellows" while many continue their support through annual giving and bequests through estate planning and other methods to the Rotary Foundation's Permanent Fund.

(1) Article X, Section 4.1 of the Club Constitution specifies that failure to pay dues within thirty (30) days after the prescribed time will result in the member receiving a notice of pending membership termination and will have ten (10) days to pay the outstanding financial obligation.  After that, said membership will automatically terminate.

(2) Rule of 85 Membership Status - A member’s absence shall be excused if the age of the member is 65 and above and the aggregate of the member’s years of age and years of membership in one or more clubs is 85 years or more and the member has notified the club secretary in writing of the member’s desire to be excused from attendance and the board has approved.
